Anna Miranda will be Cibolo’s new Finance Director. After an extensive search, Miranda was selected from more than 94 applicants to serve in this role. This is a vital position for the City of Cibolo to help our city prosper while being fiscally responsible.
Miranda is currently serving as the Assistant Finance Director for the City of San Marcos. Prior to her current role, Miranda was the finance Director for the City of Cibolo from 2011 through 2021. She is a member of the Government Finance Officers Association and continues her professional development to ensure she is knowledgeable of the current rules and regulations surrounding Municipal Finance.
“Cibolo is growing quickly in both population and commercial development and has changed so much over the last ten years,” stated Miranda. “I am excited to be returning in this role to help guide the City’s growth in a fiscally responsible manner.”
In Cibolo, Miranda will oversee the Finance Department, which consists of Accounting, Utility Billing, and Grant Coordination. Reporting directly to the city manager, the new director will be responsible for a team that has a diverse and widespread reach into all aspects of City Government.

She brings institutional knowledge and a skill set that will help us strengthen the oversight and budget management for our funds that we will need as we continue to experience strong growth,” said Wayne Reed, City Manager for Cibolo. “Anna has shown her dedication to this community by remaining appraised of current events and will continue to help us plan for a financially secure future while remaining responsible to our taxpayers.”
Before coming to Cibolo, Miranda received her BBA in Accounting and her CPA license. She became a Certified Government Finance Officer in 2018. She has 20 years of experience in a management-level position in municipal government. Before working in municipal government, her background was as an independent auditor (government engagements) with local public accounting firms.
