IT Director Kris McDaniel has accepted a job in the software development industry. His last day with the City of Cibolo will be August 6th. He is headed to RealTime-CTMS to serve as their Information Technology and System Architecture Manager.
“I have enjoyed working in the City of Cibolo for the past five years,” McDaniel said. “My passion has always been helping others and this opportunity allowed me to help first responders, city staff, and resident’s ability to interact digitally.” McDaniel has been critical in enhancing the reliability and availability of City technology by utilizing cloud services.
“I’m thankful for Kris’ contributions to the City of Cibolo,” City Manager Wayne Reed said. “While I did not have the privilege of working alongside Kris, I know from others who have that he has been instrumental in equipping the organization to be prepared to respond to cybersecurity threats, the pandemic, and other technological challenges.”
He was instrumental in setting up virtual meetings to allow the City to continue public meetings during the pandemics, and building relationships with other Cities in our area. Kris ensured that our capital improvement projects not only met the current needs, but had the ability to adapt to new technology and the capacity to grow with our needs.
