[ARCHIVED] School Related Incident

This morning’s incident occurred on Brook View near Cibolo Valley Dr. The incident involved two 16 year old males who have had an ongoing tension with one another for some time now. The suspect hit the other individual’s rear, driver’s side window with a hammer. The window shattered and the victim, the driver of the car, thought he had been shot at by the suspect. The incident was initially reported as a male high school student with a gun who shot a passing vehicle. The location of the suspect was initially unknown, so it was decided as a precaution to lock down the school and monitor the buses that were headed to the school. We also began searching the neighborhoods in the area for the suspect based upon the description provided. Contact was made with the victim who accompanied detectives back to the scene of the incident. While searching the scene for evidence, the family of the suspect brought the suspect back to the scene to meet with officers. It was confirmed the suspect used a hammer to break the window. The school was notified there was no longer a need for a lockdown and school business could return to normal.
