The City of Cibolo has a diverse group of residents that all need one thing, a community center. This projects allows all residents young and old to participate in the community events. The event center will continue to be at the center of our city as we continue to grow toward I10. The new Cibolo Family YMCA has been a need for Cibolo for years. Our residents have been traveling to Schertz and other surrounding areas. The YMCA was a great partner for the Sports Complex and we wanted to continue that partnership for this facility also. This center will be the first of its kind for our residents. There will be meeting spaces, a fitness center, child day care facilities, 2 regulation sized basketball courts, a caterer’s kitchen, showers, locker rooms, and space for an electronic library. Cibolo has lacked a recreational facility for many years. As our population grows the need for these facilities grows along with it. This will give children a place to enjoy and parents a recreational center. Sports leagues can form and a sense of community pride will be centered all on this center.
