Request for 911 Location Address - Fire Marshal
    • Provide site map, survey, building plan, and/or similar along with directions to the location
    • The address will be determined based on where the building and/or driveway makes contact with a public or private road.  It is important that the driveway be marked if it does not already exist.
    • Provide the Guadalupe County Appraisal account number so that the parcel can be located. 
    • If the land has just been purchased, provide previous owner's name,

     Building Permit Requirements

    • Three (3) complete sets of Engineer / Architect stamped plans.
    • Commercial Energy Compliance Checklist (CommCheck)
    • TDLR Architectural Barriers (A/B) Project Registration Number
    • Reed Fire Protection Review
    • Digital As Built Plans (once project is completed)

     Plan Review  

    • Building Codes / Amendments
    • Building Review (City Staff) -  Minimum forty-five (45) business days
    • Reed Fire Protection (RFP) - Contact RFP for plan review submittal & review fees (as calculated and paid to RFP)
      • RFP reviews Building Plans, Fire Line, Fire Sprinkler and Fire Alarm plans.

    • Fire Alarm Permit Application
      • You may apply for the Fire Alarm Permit once RFP has completed the review.  Please provide one (1) stamped set of reviewed plans along with a copy of the Review Letter. 
    • Fire Line Permit Application 
      • You may apply for the Fire Line Permit once RFP has completed the review.  Please provide four (4) stamped sets of reviewed plans along with a copy of the Review Letter. 
    • Fire Sprinkler / Suppression Permit Application
      • You may apply for the Fire Sprinkler Permit once RFP has completed the review.  Please provide one (1) stamped set of reviewed plans along with a copy of the Review Letter.
